Temporary working documents

Uploaded and in-progress documents remain available only for the period needed to prepare, send and complete the signing request, subject to the selected service and customer action.

Completed-file download windows

Completed signed PDFs and certificates are available through the workspace and controlled delivery process for the window included in the current plan.

Verification and proof records

Limited completion and integrity records may need to remain longer than the underlying working document so a saved final result can be checked and the service can explain the recorded outcome.

Support requests

A support request holds what was written into it: the description, the replies and any files attached by the person who raised it. Because that content is supplied rather than generated, it is kept for a stated period and then removed, rather than indefinitely. The period runs from the date the request is closed — an open request is never removed.

When support content is removed, the record of the request itself is kept: its reference, the dates, the category and the outcome. That record carries no description, replies or files, and exists so the history of a workspace stays complete and so it can be shown that the content was removed when it was due.

Restricted evidence

Sensitive evidence remains controlled and is retained only for a defined operational, contractual, legal or dispute purpose. A restricted-evidence request records its purpose, acknowledgement, approval outcome, generated export and delivery.

Backups

Deleted information may remain temporarily in protected backups until the normal backup-retention cycle expires. Backups are for recovery and are not a normal customer-access archive.

Legal holds and disputes

Deletion may be paused where preservation is reasonably required for a dispute, investigation, legal obligation or security incident.

Workspace action before deletion

The workspace shows the applicable window so authorised members can download the handover before temporary files are deleted. Deleting downloadable files does not necessarily delete the limited verification, security, billing or transaction records kept for a separate lawful purpose. See also the privacy notice and terms.
